There are a few different types of YouTube ads that you can use to reach your target audience.
In-Stream Ads
In-stream ads play before or during a video. They can be skippable or non-skippable.
Non-skippable in-stream ads are those that must be watched before the user can continue watching the video. They can be up to 30 seconds long.
Skippable in-stream ads are those that the user can skip after 5 seconds.
In-Stream Video Ads
In-stream video ads are ads that play as a pre-roll or mid-roll before or during a video.
Pre-roll in-stream video ads are those that play before the video. They can be up to 15 seconds long.
Mid-roll in-stream video ads are those that play in the middle of the video. They can be up to 30 seconds long.
In-Display Ads
In-display ads are those that appear as a thumbnail on the right side of the YouTube screen. When the user clicks on the thumbnail, the ad expands to full-screen.
In-search Ads
In-search ads are those that appear at the top of the search results page when a user searches for a specific term.
In-slate Ads
In-slate ads are those that appear as a suggested video at the end of a video.
