Is WordPress Right for Me?
WordPress is suitable for almost any kind of website or blog. However, if you want to create a website that includes features such as an online store or membership system, then you may need to use other software in addition to WordPress (see our article on eCommerce platforms for more information).
If you’re not sure whether WordPress is right for you, then we recommend that you sign up for a free account and experiment with it yourself. You can create a test site in minutes, without spending any money. And if you decide later that WordPress isn’t right for you, then it’s easy to export your content and move it over to another platform.
How Much Does WordPress Cost?
WordPress itself is free. However, in order to use WordPress on your own domain name (such as example.com), you will need to purchase web hosting and a domain name from a provider such as Bluehost or DreamHost. These services usually cost around $5 per month. In addition, some premium themes and plugins are not free, although there are many high-quality free alternatives available.
