What Is Native Advertising?

Native advertising is really just a buzz term that’s used to describe ads that look like the content that the ad is placed within. It started off a long time ago with soap operas and then moved over into things like infomercials, advertorials.

Another example of native advertisements are, when you’re on a blog you’ll see the little section below the content post where it says links around the web. Those are actually advertisements that are disguised to look like content or other blog posts.

Another example of native advertisement is Facebook news feed ads. So they can look exactly like a status update, and they show up right in the news feed, versus the right hand column, which is becoming increasingly less noticed by most prospects.
