So there are three keys to making the leap from being a beginner, to being a paid copywriter who gets paid to write direct response marketing copy.
Let’s start by answering the question. What is copywriting?
One thing I’ve learned lately is a lot of people don’t understand the difference between copyright, which is the thing that results in that little C inside a circle at the bottom of your manuscript, saying that your intellectual property rights are protected and copyrighting the
copywriting.
As in I’m writing advertising or marketing copy to persuade people to do something, to take an action. That’s the kind of copywriting we’re talking about today.
And the good news is for anybody who likes to write, this is the highest form paid of writing. I know of, unless of course, you’re Stephen King, JK Rowling, or Harlan Coben outside of those, this is the highest form paid of writing I know of.
