I have been making videos now for my business for some time. This is easy guys! I was always nervous for some reason about making video’s but I quickly realised that no-one will see this video until I am happy with it.. Also how can I be worried about making video’s if it is just me and my girlfriend making them? It is more about our fears and maybe worrying about what people might think about us right!
This will help you right away I believe to get started and focused on the job in hand rather than getting concerned about how you will look and sound. You have been talking to people and being yourself all your life. You are a unique individual that has a unique personality. You have been using yourself since you could speak. All you have to do in the video is ‘be yourself’. That is all people are looking for. People want to buyfrom someone who is trustworthy above anything else, so if you are natural and honest with your talking, then you will come across as natural and then communicate to them through your emotional self.
Do you see what I mean here? You know you better than anyone else so celebrate who and what you are with self-respect and confidence. Then deliver who and what you are honestly and naturally and then you know that you really have nothing to worry about. I am not the best guy at making videos but the important thing to me is that I am getting my message across to my audience. People don’t mind if you make mistakes as it is more real. Talk as though you are talking to one person and make it personal.
Practice this if you wish but personally I think there is nothing better than just doing it. If it helps when you start to make the video you can imagine I am sat there with you saying remember what I said about being yourself? Whatever makes it more relaxing for you really. Video Marketing is free and easy but very powerful so make your mark and get out there.
Helpful Tips:
A camera for around $59$99, you can get a great camera for this prices which is clear and easy to use and you can upload the pictures right away onto your p/c.
Use your cable you get with your camera to plug into the p/c and it will prompt you to download your video’s.
Get Window’s movie Maker which I use and is really easy to use. This way you can edit your video’s so you can take out any mistakes you have made and add word’s or pictures and music to your video.
Upload your published Movie Maker Video to YouTube by joining YouTube and in your account go to upload new file. You then can grab your videos that will be your documents or in your pictures/videos on your p/c that you saved earlier.
Keep video’s to around 2 to 3 minutes as people lose interest as you can imagine so ensure you keep them on your video.
When making the video keep in natural and shoot the video’s in various places like forests, beaches, office or anywhere else. Grab the attention of the viewer by enticing them into your imagery.
Talk with confidence and relaxing delivery so you make the viewer feel relaxed and interested.
Talk about what you know and what you have learned. Come from an expert point of view or at least someone who is passionate about what they are talking about.
Use comedy if it helps, or you can be serious. However your personality is best when talking or getting a message across.
Put your title at the beginning in writing for example Jack Smith Internet Marketing Specialist, or say what you do at the beginning so as to introduce yourself.
Finally add your URL at the end of video. What is a URL? It is your Blog web address or Facebook page website. Never put your sales page or landing page as your link as it will make them think you are just a sales person and all the trust you have gained will just disappear.
Lastly you are trying to connect here and build a relationship with the viewer on a personal level so don’t blow it by just getting them to buy from you straight after the video.
Are you ready to get started now? I hope this has helped and it might speed up your success rate with making video’s for your marketing campaign. One more thing is don’t forget that it is you that they want to buy from as you are the brand here, not the company/product.
OK get to work!:)
