Thankfully, there’s a way to defeat banner ads on Android TV “Oreo” update. By setting up a restricted profile, you can ensure that only approved apps and channels are visible on your home screen. This means no more banner ads!
Here’s how to set up a restricted profile:
1. Go to Settings > Security & restrictions.
2. Under “User controls,” select “Restricted profile.”
3. Enter a name for your restricted profile and select which apps and channels you want to include.
4. That’s it! Your restricted profile is now set up and you will no longer see any banner ads when using Android TV.
