This is how I investigated the traffic provided by the PPC firm Clicksor. My conclusion was that Clicksor do very little to monitor the fake traffic, fraud, malware, viruses etc. that plague their network – and they are completely unwilling to refund any money to a customer that confronts them with evidence such as I have.
Also, their setup section is misleading enough for us to feel that it is deliberately so. – i.e. that the lack of information about partner networks within the setup phase indicates that they probably don’t want you to be aware of that fact.
Their promotional work is also suspect such as their claims about virus protection and even editorial notes on their Wikipedia page.
Whilst publishers for Clicksor, I only earned $0.03 from thousands of visitors, so I did not pursue that angle. The allegations that they do not pay out, or send bad cheques to people are third party allegations.
Most PPC firms have fraudulent people on the network. However, unlike most PPC firms, I believe that Clicksor’s business model relies on the fraud – rather than it being a nuisance.
If you are looking to boost traffic numbers to your site, then I suppose they would be useful. But I would not class them as a “pay-per-click” provider in the strictest sense of the phrase.
