You built your website and it is running smoothly. Now is the time to begin driving loads of traffic to your content and offers. But have you given any thought as to how to bring those same people back to your website? Repeat website traffic is often much better and more responsive than getting new traffic is. So how can you get maximize your potential repeat traffic? Consider using a loyalty program.
What are loyalty programs?
If you’re like most people you enjoy the process of eating, right? Sure you do, but what does eating have to do with a this type of program? Everything. Next time your in the market and you pull out your “savings club card” and hand it to the clerk, think about the “Reward” you are going to get for using that card. This is a loyalty program at work. Supermarkets have convinced us to shop at their stores by giving us something in return for doing so. The more you shop there, and using your card, the more points you accumulate towards coupons, special offers, and anything else they might offer.
Why Should I use a loyalty program?
These programs provide your customers with a reason to continue to come back and visit your business. This could be because they like your business. It could be because they like the rewards you are giving out. Either way, having a loyalty program, especially if you provide those nice little wallet cards, keeps your business in front of the customer EVERY time they open their wallets. I know I personally have dozens of these little cards, include 4 different grocery chains, fast food, and a movie club card. Customers want to earn back some of their hard earn money. Why not let them.
How do loyalty programs bring me traffic?
Loyalty programs are a great method of gaining repeat customer traffic. If they likes your business enough to shop with you in the first place, then they should want to come back. Loyalty offers simply give them an extra nudge in that direction. Sure I could go watch a movie at a brand new pricey cinema, or go watch one where I always do and get free popcorn and soda. Hey those are expensive. People will go out of their way to repeated visit businesses and websites in which they are rewarded to do so. Making a loyalty program part of your website will increase traffic and repeat customers.
