As a professional blogger, I am always on the lookout for new and better ways to improve my blog articles. One of the most important things I can do to improve my blog is to ensure that each article is keyword rich.
What are keywords? Keywords are the words or phrases that people type into search engines when they are looking for something. For example, if someone is looking for information on “How to start a blog”, they will type those words into a search engine.
When it comes to ranking well on search engines like Google, it is important to have your keywords in your blog article titles and throughout the body of your article. This will help Google understand what your article is about and match it up with people who are searching for that information.
So, how do you find keywords that you can use in your blog articles? Here is my process:
1) Start with a broad topic. Let’s say you want to write an article about starting a blog. You would then go to Google and type in “Starting a blog” into the search bar.
2) Take a look at the results that come up. These are all potential keywords that you could use in your article. Take note of any keywords that are relevant to your topic.
3) Go to Google AdWords Keyword Planner tool. This is a free tool provided by Google that allows you to research keywords. Enter some of the keywords you noted down in Step 2 into the keyword planner tool and see what comes up.
4) The keyword planner tool will give you some ideas for other related keywords that you could use in your article. Make a note of any relevant keywords that come up.
5) Use these keywords throughout your article – in the title, in the body and in the tags (if you are using WordPress). This will help Google understand what your article is about and match it up with people who are searching for that information
