In today’s video I will be speaking about my 21 simple steps to the web design process from start to finish.
Find out how following a structured web design process can help you deliver more successful websites faster and more efficiently. Therefore increasing your profits and decreasing your stress.
Web designers often think about the web design process with a focus on technical matters such as wireframes, code, and content management. But great design isn’t about how you integrate the social media buttons or even add content. Great design is actually about having a website design creation process that aligns with an overarching strategy and sets milestones and goals.
My 21-Step Process for Website Design and Web Development:
1. Initial Consultation (email, phone, zoom or in-person)
2. Price Quote or Proposal (watch:

4. Website Design Contract (watch:
5. Non-Refundable 50% Deposit
6. Deep Dive w/ Client (Sitemap, set goals, expectations and review sites together)
7. Submit 5-10 Templates or a 2 page Custom Mock-up
8. Request Content (including but not limited to logo, brand guidelines, images, text content) w/ dropbox folders
9. A Developer is given the project and website is started on our server.
10. Client is provided 1st look at dev. link and we request revisions (on desktop only).
11. Next payment of 25% is required to move forward with revisions.
12. Internally revisions are made, a second team member reviews revisions and link is resent to client.
13. Client provides second and last set of revisions. We make the changes.
14. Client is given a final review of site on desktop for approval.
15. Once desktop is approved mobile responsiveness is completed.
16. Testing Website on multiple, browsers, devices, screen sizes, contact forms, navigation items, hyperlinks, social media, anchor texts.
17. Client pays remainder of balance (25%).
18. We migrate site to clients hosting server (or hand over files).
19. An email with login’s & passwords provided to client.
20. Client is offered additional services and/or 1-on-1 tutorial with developer for $120 per hour.
21. Client has 7 days to review and notify us of any errors free. Updates fixed free of charge.
