Making money online has never been easier, and with hundreds of advertising programmes available, there’s no shortage of options for webmasters to choose from. Unfortunately, the majority of these programmes were conceived in the wake of Google AdSense’s success — they are all “me too!” duplicates and don’t offer anything that AdSense already does. It’s for this reason that you should stick to AdSense when monetizing your website(s).
Unlike other advertising programmes, Google AdSense offers a seemingly infinite advertiser base. Relevant ads can be displayed on almost any website, no matter what the niche is. This results in a higher CTR and ultimately more money in your pocket.
Having Google sponsored ads can actually benefit your website and improve it’s image. With Google being one of the most known brands on the internet, your visitors immediately gain a sense of trust and respect. They recognize that Google is a known and trusted service and that they won’t be plagued with additional pop-ups and/or spyware/adware if they click the ad.
The same thing can’t be said for any other advertising programme on the internet. Banner-ads and pop-ups suffer a low CTR for this very reason. Generally, there is no known brand name associated with them, so visitors automatically click out the ad’s window or disregard it completely.
Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), Google AdSense is the only sensible solution when looking for a programme to monetize your website. If you’re banned, there’s no where to turn — no other programme will pay as much as AdSense does.
