If you have just started your MLM business opportunity and are new to the internet, or you are a seasoned network marketer and are thinking about taking your business online, here are some things to consider.
Firstly, thinking back to when my husband first started using the internet he was, for want of a better word, ‘scared’, maybe he thought if he clicked on the wrong thing the computer would blow up or do a total meltdown or something.
And so he was reluctant to click on most things and just kept to the basics like looking at his email or listening to music and was never short of excuses as to why he wasn’t joining Facebook, Twitter, or even making a comment on blogs.
Without realizing it, he was making a big deal about nothing or as the saying goes, a mountain out of a mole hill when really it is nowhere near as scary as I made it out to be, it was all in my mind set.
So if you have already made the decision to market your business on the internet but haven’t taken any action yet, maybe the first step is to ask yourself
What is stopping You from taking the first steps and what is it that’s holding YOU back?
When you answer those questions honestly, it should give you an idea of where you need assistance. Is it because you just don’t know where to get started? Maybe you don’t know what to do first? Is it because you don’t believe it will work for you?
We suggest that you start off by finding an easy tutorial on YouTube, showing you how to sign up for Twitter and what to do. Have a look to see if your friends or family are on Twitter and follow them, get to know what they’re doing and play around a bit.
Do the same thing with Facebook – find a tutorial on YouTube, put the video up in the corner of your desktop and follow along, while your own tutor shows you what to do. Watching videos is much better than having your own private tutor. You can pause the video if you want to take some action. You can go back and repeat the instructions on the video, and you can see exactly what to do. I believe videos are the best invention ever, for learning things on the internet.
While you’re learning Twitter and Facebook, find out how easy it is to have a conversation with someone, and also how to join in a conversation on a blog.
Another important thing to learn, is how to do some research before you decide to advertise your product online. If you can find out whether or not your product ‘can’ be sold on the internet, wouldn’t that save you a lot of time? You can find out how much demand there is for your product and how much competition you have in the market place.
If you’ve been procrastinating about creating your own blog, it’s much easier than you might expect. These days, there are tools which create the blog for you – all you do is choose the template (how it’s going to look), choose the name and keywords, and the tool will create the blog for you. Of course, there are videos showing you how to do those steps also.
Internet network marketing isn’t for everyone, and the most important thing is to have fun. If it’s not fun for you, it’s probably not going to work. Focus on all the terrific things that can happen for you and your MLM business opportunity when the internet does work for you as it has for many network marketers already.
