Traffic is the key to learning how to make quick money online. A site that doesn’t attract traffic is the equivalent of putting the Mona Lisa at the bottom of the sea, yes its beautiful and expensive, but if nobody is going to see it, it won’t attract any attention. To be successful online you need to attract attention, and here’s how:
First – Link Building
Backlinks are what direct search engines to your site, these could be social bookmarking, press releases, pinging, and probably most effectively, article marketing.
Article marketing will help to firstly, hook reader attention, secondly hook the search engines because you have a link on a high powered site, and thirdly development of online content.
Drilling these three will help you to rake in the traffic.
Web content is invaluable on the internet, if you have a great deal of unique, relevant content, and place it through out the internet on blogs, social networks etc, people will naturally link to it through RSS feeds etc. Thus spreading your links further.
Releasing this content is best done with top article directories, these will attract millions of visitors each day, so the chances are some are going to view your articles. You want to place your main keywords in the resources box, title and main content. And hopefully if an ezine publisher with hundreds of subscribers pick up your article you will see a dramatic increase in traffic.
Also you could convert these articles into videos to help generate more traffic through YouTube etc.
Second, Web Optimisation. This is optimising your site for the search engine spiders (SEO). This means your page must have your keywords through out. These are the words people will be searching in the engines for. To get yourself a keyword try the Google AdWords Keyword Tool. Insert a keyword related to your field and the tool will give a list of keywords with search volumes and ad competition etc. Make sure you choose on that is right for you.
Then its just a matter of placing these throughout you site and any marketing you do, headlines, descriptions, internal links, file names etc etc.
And Finally Wet Stats, this data will show you how many visitors are coming to your site and where from. You will want to know the keywords they are using and as much information as possible. Using Google Analytics can be useful for this. Just insert the code within your web pages. This will enable you to track progress.
This will then let you optimise your site, giving content that you know if relevant because of your tracking. The more you do this the more traffic you will get and the more sale you will have.
