What would you do if you woke up tomorrow and had an extra $1,000 in your bank account?
For most people, the answer is “spend it.” But what if I told you that there are people who wake up every day with that much – or more – in their accounts because they make money online?
Wouldn’t you like to be one of those people?
I’m not saying it’s easy to make money online. But it is possible, and there are people who do it every day. In fact, I am one of those people.
I make my living as an online marketer, and I’ve learned a thing or two about what it takes to be successful at making money online. Here are 5 rules that I learned from martial arts that have helped me succeed in making money online.
1. Commitment: Making money online takes commitment. Just like learning any martial art, it takes time, effort and dedication to master the skills needed to be successful. When I first started out, I was working 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. I was constantly learning new things and trying new strategies. And even now, after years of experience, I still dedicate several hours each day to my online business. If you want to make money online, you need to be prepared to put in the time and effort required to succeed.
2. Focus: In martial arts, as in life, it’s important to focus on what’s important and not get distracted by things that don’t matter. When I started my online business, there were a million different things I could have been doing – writing articles, building websites, creating products, etc. But I knew that if I wanted to be successful, I needed to focus on only a few things and do them well. So that’s what I did (and continue to do). Whenever I start working on a new project or goal, I ask myself “Will this help me achieve my goals?” If the answer is “no” then I don’t do it. This has helped me stay focused on what’s important and not get sidetracked by shiny objects syndrome.
3. Discipline: Martial arts requires discipline – both in terms of physical training and mental focus. The same is true for making money online. You need to be disciplined in your work habits and your thought process if you want to be successful at making money online. For example, when I first started my business, there were many times when I felt like giving up because things weren’t going my way or because I wasn’t seeing results as quickly as I wanted. But instead of quitting,I kept going and eventually things turned around for me (as they often do). If you want to make money online, you need the discipline to stick with it even when things get tough.
4 Mental Toughness: In martial arts (and in life), there will be times when you get knocked down (literally or figuratively). What counts is how you respond when this happens; do you stay down or do you get back up again? The ability to mentally tough it out is essential for anyone who wants to make money online (or in any other area of life). There will be times when things don’t go your way or when you make mistakes; the key is to learn from these experiences and keep moving forward toward your goals.
5 Perseverance: Making money online (or achieving any goal) requires perseverance; the ability to keep going even when things are tough or when you feel like giving up. There will be times when your efforts don’t seem to be paying off and all you want to do is quit; but if you persevere through these tough times then eventually you will succeed just like so many others have before you
