Content marketing is one of the most effective tools in a digital marketer’s toolkit. It allows you to build relationships with your customers and prospects, nurture them through the buyer’s journey, and ultimately drive more sales.
But with so many content marketing courses and certifications out there, it can be hard to know which one is right for you. In this post, we’ll take a look at Smart Blogger’s Content Marketing Certification (CMC) to help you decide if it’s worth the investment.
What Is the Content Marketing Certification?
The CMC is a 12-week online course that covers everything you need to know about content marketing, from strategy to execution. The course is led by two of the most well-known and respected experts in the field, Jon Morrow and Garrett Moon.
Morrow is the co-founder ofSmart Blogger (formerly Boost Blog Traffic), one of the largest blogs in the world about writing better blog posts, and he knows a thing or two about getting traffic and conversions with great content. Moon is the CEO and founder of Coschedule, a popular WordPress plugin that helps you plan, publish, optimize, and promote your blog posts for maximum impact. He’s also an expert on SEO and social media marketing.
Together, Morrow and Moon have over 50 years of experience in content marketing between them. So if there’s anyone who can teach you how to do it right, it’s these two guys.
How Does the Course Work?
The CMC course is divided into four modules: Foundations, Strategy, Execution, and Results. Each module contains several lessons taught in a mix of video format (around 60%), audio format (30%), and text format (10%). The videos are mostly screencasts where either Morrow or Moon walk you through different concepts while they work on their own computer screens. The audio lessons are interviews with successful content marketers talking about their experiences and strategies. And the text lessons are articles written by Morrow or Moon that supplement the other material.
