India is well on its way to becoming a global superpower. The country has the world’s second-largest population and is projected to be the world’s most populous nation by 2027. India is also home to some of the world’s fastest-growing economies, with an annual growth rate of 7.5% in 2016.
But despite all of this growth, there is one area where India lags behind other nations: computer ownership. Only about one in four Indians owns a computer, compared to an estimated global average of about 60%.
But that could soon change. A new startup called Pabbly is making it easy and affordable for Indians to build their own custom PCs.
Pabbly is India’s first website dedicated to custom PC building. The site offers a wide range of components, from processors and motherboards to graphics cards and storage drives, that can be assembled into a powerful and personalized gaming PC or workstation.
Pricing is transparent and competitive, with Pabbly often beating out major retailers like Amazon and Flipkart on price. And because Pabbly assembles the PCs itself, customers don’t have to worry about compatibility issues or putting the pieces together themselves.
Pabbly offers two different kinds of custom PCs: gaming rigs and workstations. Gaming rigs are designed for playing the latest AAA games at high settings, while workstations are optimized for productivity tasks like video editing and 3D rendering.
Pabbly’s gaming rigs start at just Rs 49,990 (about $775), while its workstations start at Rs 69,990 (about $1,070). That’s much cheaper than buying a pre-built PC from a major manufacturer like Dell or HP, which can easily cost two or three times as much.
To get started, customers simply choose the type of PC they want and then select their preferred components from Pabbly’s online store. Once everything has been added to the cart, Pabbly takes care of the rest, assembling the PC and delivering it to the customer’s doorsteps within 7-10 days.
Pabbly currently delivers to all major cities in India, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Kolkata. The company plans to expand its delivery network to other parts of the country in the coming months.
