Immunotec Review
Before I get into this review of Immunotec let me introduce myself. My name is Ben Biel and I’ve been involved with the network marketing industry for over 20 years. My summer vacations were spent at network marketing conventions as a kid and my parents have been involved in over 20 different companies. I’ve had a love – hate relationship with this industry which, I think, gives me the ability to offer a balanced perspective of the companies I review. I use a simple pro/con method of evaluating that is by no means exhaustive but will hopefully help you to confirm any research you’ve already done on Immunotec.
Immunotec Corporate Pros and Cons
Pros– Immunotec has been around for almost 15 years, is debt free and is publicly traded so it’s going to be around for a while. It also has an impressive list of international patents to its name that provide security in the form of proprietary products.
Immunotec has an impressive list of executives, senior management and doctors behind it including James A. Northrop, Dr. Wulf Dröge, Dr. Gustavo Bounous, Patrick Montpetit, and John Molson.
Cons– So far I can’t find anything negative about the corporate side of Immunotec. They have a very solid reputation.
Immunotec Product Pros and Cons
Pros– With a ton of international patents on their main product Immunocal and Immunocal Platinum as well as human clinical studies proving their claims this is the most solid nutritional supplement company in the industry. They also have a great line of supplementary products like vitamins that they continuously refine as new natural health breakthroughs are discovered.
Cons– Immunocal actually seams too good to be true. When talking to distributors and all the things that they claim it helps (cancer, MS, arthritis, Crohn’s, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s) it sounds like they’re marketing snake oil. After doing my homework though I found that all the claims are verifiable and the science behind the product is solid. I’m sure it’s a bit of a marketing nightmare for new distributors who, when going to their friends and family, are asked “what health conditions does it help?” and they say “all of them!” because most people would be thinking “that’s total B.S”
Immunotec Business Pros and Cons
Pros– The business and compensation plan are based on what I would call “reasonable personal consumption.” What I mean by this is that your minimum monthly volume requirements never exceed what a normal person would buy of the products you sell. The starting requirements are around $150/mo which I think is very reasonable considering some companies require over $500/mo in sales. At the highest level your personal sales only need to be around $300/mo.
Another pro is that the products work. People see results in very short order. The customer retention rate of the company is around 80% which is crazy good. Most products have retention rates below 50%.
Immunotec’s compensation plan is quite lucrative and has bonuses and rollups built into it that most people don’t even know about (this part could be a con because these rollups and bonuses aren’t explained in the companies compensation documents but can double in income of someone at a Gold level or higher). To give you an example of how good it is let me compare two of my friends businesses. One is in Immunotec and the other is in a different company. Both have downlines of about 300 people. The one in Immunotec has an average sale of about $200/mo to each member in their downline while the other persons sale is about $500/mo but my friend in Immunotec makes almost twice as much money!
Cons– The company does a terrible job promoting and selling their products and an even worse job promoting the business. The company replicated websites have terrible navigation and most of their copy sounds like a medical journal or science textbook. The people I’ve seen that are successful in this company have often developed their own marketing tools. The company seems to be aware of this glaring hole in their business and is working on adding better marketing tools for their associates but so far have missed the mark.
Immunotec Review Conclusion
Overall Immunotec is a great company with a bright future and excellent growth potential. If you aren’t afraid to tackle marketing on your own you could exploit this weakness in the company and quickly advance through the ranks because so few people know about this amazing company.
