Learning how to install Google Analytics for your WordPress site is extremely important. It allows you to track all of the valuable data that users take on your page. The default tracking metrics that WordPress has built in aren’t the greatest – so I highly recommend you install Google Analytics.
For purposes of this video, we are using a plugin called ‘MonsterInsights’ – however there are several other ways to install Google Analytics on your WordPress website.
In addition to WordPress.com metrics, Google Analytics has sophisticated functionality. Goal conversion allows you to measure how visitors accomplish certain tasks, while funnel reports help you track the journey visitors travel through your site (such as reaching a product page or contact form). You’ll be able to see all of your analytics in one spot if you already use Google Analytics for other projects.
WordPress.com includes built-in stats tracking and statistics that provide rapid, at-a-glance overview of your site’s traffic. New posts, likes, and comments are displayed alongside visitor activity to make the numbers easier to understand.
