Upon activation, the Yoast SEO plugin will add a new menu item to your WordPress admin sidebar. Click on the SEO menu item and then click on the Titles & Metas tab.
Under the Titles & Metas tab, you will see the following sections:
General

XML Sitemaps
Click on the General tab.
The General tab contains the following settings:
Title separator
WordPress SEO title
Meta description
Force rewrite
OpenGraph
Twitter Card
Click on the WordPress SEO title field and enter the title of your post or page.
Next, enter the meta description for your post or page. The meta description is the short summary of your post or page that is displayed in the search engine results pages.
You can also use the social settings to control how your content is shared on social media. For example, you can enable or disable the Facebook OpenGraph and Twitter Card settings.
Click on the XML Sitemaps tab.
The XML Sitemaps tab contains the following settings:
Enabled
Sitemap filename
Change frequency
Priority
The Enabled setting allows you to enable or disable XML sitemaps for your website.
The Sitemap filename setting allows you to specify the filename of your XML sitemap.
The Change frequency setting allows you to specify how often your XML sitemap is updated.
The Priority setting allows you to specify the priority of your XML sitemap.
