Etsy is an eCommerce platform focused on handmade or vintage items and craft supplies. In order to sell on Etsy, you have to set up a shop. It’s free to set up a shop, but Etsy charges listing fees and transaction fees.
To set up an Etsy shop:
1) Go to Etsy.com and click Sell on Etsy on the top right.
2) Click Open your Etsy shop.
3) Select your shop language, country, and currency, then click Save and continue.
4) Choose your shop name, then click Save and continue.
5) Stock your shop
6) Choose how you’ll get paid
7) Choose the payment methods you want to offer in your shop. Click Save and continue when you’re done. Note: If you’re in the US, you need to have a PayPal account to receive money from buyers on Etsy.
9 Set up billing
It’s important to understand the fees associated with selling on Etsy, so you can plan and price your items accordingly. When you list an item for sale on Etsy, you’ll be charged a listing fee of $0.20 per item. When that item sells, you’ll also be charged a transaction fee of 3% of the sale price plus a small payment processing fee (based on the listing’s currency). 10 Set up shipping labels
If you plan to use USPS shipping labels with Etsy Shipping Labels, enter your address here so we can automatically populate it when printing shipping labels later on. You can always add or edit this information later under Shop Settings > Shipping Settings.”11 Review our selling policies
