Solo ads are an advertising form that based on mass email marketing to vendors lists. They are termed solo ads because in their method of delivery – they are sent out alone as a stand-alone broadcast email.
Solo ads are one of the cheapest, fastest and most effective ways to drive traffic to your blog/website or landing page/squeeze page/capture page

Do solo ads work? Are they effective? Are they worth it?
Yes, yes & yes.
But you need to do your due diligence in picking the right solo ad vendors.
How does a solo ad work?
Over time, an internet marketer will build up his/her email list. Such list will typically have tens of thousands of subscribers. The internet marketer then offers other internet marketers to “hire out” or “rent out” his/her list, for an agreed price. The buyer then supplies the internet marketer with a copy of the ad. In turn the internet marketer emails the ad to his/her subscriber list.
Subscribers then receive and read the email. Interested subscribers click on the ad in and they are re-directed to a landing page. This is where the marketer who purchased the solo ad collects details (i.e. name & email address) of a potential customer
The concept of solo ads is very straight-forward, yet effective & powerful. As always, one should constantly be split testing, tracking and fine-tuning. An effective solo ad will enable one to scale up one’s business over a relatively short period of time.

Over time, the internet marketer should expand his/her portfolio and gradually include other techniques.
