But there’s one tool that can make your freelance life a whole lot easier: Trello.

Trello is a free online project management tool that lets you create boards to organize your projects, tasks, and ideas. You can create as many boards as you want, and each board can have multiple lists. For example, you could create a board for each client, and then have lists for each project you’re working on. Or you could create a board for your blog, and have lists for each article you’re writing.

You can also add cards to each list. Each card can contain information about a task or an idea, and you can assign due dates, add attachments, and leave comments on each card.

Trello is an incredibly versatile tool that can be used for just about anything. In this post, I’m going to show you how to use Trello for your freelance business. I’ll show you how to set up boards and lists, add cards, and how to use some of the other features that make Trello so useful.

Creating Boards and Lists in Trello

When you first sign up for Trello, you’ll be asked to choose between two options: using Trello for work or using Trello for personal use. Choose the option that best describes how you plan on using Trello. If you’re not sure which option to choose, just select the one that sounds more like fun. You can always change your mind later.

Once you’ve chosen an option, Trello will take you through a quick tour of the basics. When you’re finished with the tour, click the “Create New Board” button at the top of the screen.
