(EMAIL MARKETING)
In the internet marketing world, the term “email marketing” gets thrown around a lot. It’s become one of those terms that everyone seems to know, but no one can really define. And that’s because email marketing means different things to different people.
For some, email marketing is simply a way to send out periodic updates or coupons to their list of subscribers. For others, it’s a key part of their overall strategy to drive traffic and conversions. And for a select few, it’s a goldmine that generates thousands of dollars in revenue each and every month.
If you fall into the latter category, then you know just how profitable email marketing can be. In fact, you might even be making $3,000 or more per month from your email list. But how?
It all comes down to crafting the perfect email. One that is so irresistible that people can’t help but click through and buy whatever it is you’re selling.
And while that might sound like a tall order, it’s actually not as difficult as it seems. With a little practice, you can start writing emails that generate serious results.
Here are a few tips to get you started:
1) Keep it short and sweet
In today’s age of information overload, people are bombarded with emails all day long. As a result, they don’t have the time or patience to read lengthy emails from companies trying to sell them something.
Instead, keep your emails short and sweet. Get straight to the point and make your offer in as few words as possible. The less time people have to spend reading your email, the more likely they are to click through and take action.
2) Use powerful headlines
Your headline is the first (and sometimes only) thing people will see when they receive your email, so it needs to be attention-grabbing and persuasive enough to make them want to read more. This can be accomplished by using powerful words and phrases like “free”, “ limited time only” , “new and improved” , etc. Just make sure not to overhype your headlines or use too much exclamation points… that will only turn people off!
3) Personalize your emails
When people feel like they are receiving a generic message that could have been sent to anyone, they are much less likely than if they feel like the message was written specifically for them . So always personalize your emails by using the recipient’s name in the opening line and throughout the body of the message whenever possible . You can also segment your list so that you are sending more targeted messages to specific groups of people . For example , if you have a list of both male and female subscribers , you could send exclusive offers designed specifically for either gender .
4) Tell a story
People love stories… especially ones that they can relate to on a personal level . By weaving a tale into your email , you will not only capture attention but also create an emotional connection with your reader . And when people feel emotionally connected to something , they are much more likely inclined act on it . So don’t be afraid to get creative with your storytelling… just make sure there is a relevant point at the end !
5) Use images judiciously
While images can help break up long blocks of text and add visual interest to an email , too many images will actually make it harder for people to digest the information in your message . So use images sparingly and only when they genuinely add value . Additionally , avoid using large images that will take forever to load… no one wants to wait around for an emailto finish loading !
6) Use strong call-to-actions (CTAs)
Your CTA is what tells people what you want them to do next … whether it’s clicking throughto buy something , signing up for a free trial , etc . It should be clear , concise , and easy for peopleto follow . For best results , use active language like “click here now ” or “ download this free report ” instead of passive language like “ click here ” or “ learn more about our products/services .”
7) Test, test, test!
The only way to know for sure if an email is effective is by testing it out on a small group of people before sending itto your entire list . This will allow youmake changes before it’s too late ! Try experimenting with different subject lines , headlines , CTA s , images , etc . until you find what works best for your audience . And don’t forget tomobile test ! Make sure your emails look good and are easyto navigate on both desktop AND mobile devices since moreand more people are reading their emails on their phones these days …
