I have heard and read a lot of people make money online by affiliate marketing. So I’ve researched and studied how this kind of online marketing lets bloggers earn some big bucks.
Simply put, affiliate marketing is a marketing and selling method done by selling a product or service through a link on the website. The popular sellers or affiliates are Amazon, eBay and more. These affiliates give links, banner ads or other promotional things to sell their products. Generally, they give some percentage per sold item that I help direct to their site. Each sold product may generate only a small commission amount, but when accumulated in volume it can become a big amount for sure! Other affiliate programs let you earn when the person you referred signs up, gives name, address or email address, completes a survey and etc. Commissions are usually a percentage of sales or a fixed rate per conversion depending on the company.

Place links appropriately. If the affiliate ads are about supplements, insert them in your articles about health and nutrition. If you link them with unrelated words or topics, it will create confusion and might lose the trust of your readers. Good content plus responsible advertising will gain you many loyal readers.
Write reviews about the affiliate products. But you must only write a review about it when you have actually tried and tested the product. Honesty will always be the best policy in blogging. Promote quality products or services you believe in. Remember, it might just take one wrong or low-quality product to hurt your blogs reputation.
Know your audience and cater to their questions and needs. If your blog is about mommy and kids, put links about mommy and kid products that will make them healthy and happy.
Try different affiliate marketing programs. They are not the same, choose carefully what suits you and your blog. Some give lifetime payout on sales while others have only 30-90 days duration. If one program seems not to work for you, it is better to try another one.
Keep up to date your content and ads. Fresh and hot topics make good readership as well as timeless quality articles. New ads and tools are constantly added for improvement so be alert and monitor trends.
And lastly, keep in mind that patience is a virtue. Affiliate marketing is not an instant and easy money making scheme but promises you future passive income.
