Hello and welcome to Content Marketing Examples and it’s already time to take you through the best creative ideas from February, so let’s get to it!
First up is Nissan who, to showcase their latest car parking technology, created the world’s first self-parking chair. Activated with just a clap, a messy meeting room miraculously tidies itself as the chairs tuck themselves away. It’s a total gimmick, but with over 1.2million views, it’s shown to be a fun and engaging way to promote a new feature for their cars.
Second is a great bit of newsjacking from fashion retailer, Lyst, who – after Barbie released their new, more diverse dolls, gave Ken a modern makeover too. There’s Afro Ken, Hipster Ken, Balding Ken and more who make up the range that really hit the headlines.
Next is 100 Years of Zombie Evolution from the the team at Dying Light. Jumping on the popularity of all the “100 years of…” videos,
to launch their new video game, they documented the evolution of the Zombie, culminating with their new interpretation you can play against. Hats off to the make-up artists on this one, the transformations were fantastic.
Fourth is Superdrug’s second instalment of their “Perceptions of Perfection”. Having already looked at what the ideal women looked like across the globe in late 2015, this time, the men were the focus. Starting with an image of an average looking guy, 19 designers from across the globe were told to use Photoshop to make him as attractive as possible for their country. Some of them were pretty forgiving, some of them were quite idealistic, but – all in all – it’s a fantastic campaign and, achieving link backs from all sorts of media.
Lastly, it’s Inspired By Iceland with their “Iceland Academy”. To promote tourism, and tourist safety, in the country, they created four light hearted videos, including “avoiding hot tub awkwardness” for people to watch. And if you connect with your Facebook account and answer a couple of questions about each video, you’re also in with a shout of winning a trip yourself!
So that was February, see you next time for March!
