Hello and welcome to Content Marketing Examples’ December 2016 instalment. Let’s take a look at the month’s best creative campaigns…
First we have a festive partnership between SodaStream and the World’s Strongest Man: Thor Bjornsson. The big man, otherwise known as The Mountain from Game of Thrones, dressed up as Santa and dettered unwitting shoppers from buying bottled sparkling water – getting them to save the planet and use a SodaStream instead – in his own, slightly intimidating style.
Next is Dove and their unique take on the Mannequin Challenge craze. Tying into their Real Beauty campaign, the message of their video was to challenge mannequins to look more like real humans – and for people have confidence in their own body. A great bit of reactive marketing.
Thirdly, there’s UNICEF’s hard-hitting campaign to end child violence. The video shows David Beckham’s famed tattoos coming to life and acting out disturbing scenes of abuse – encouraging users to break the cycle and raise awareness.
Finally, we have this lovely idea from Dutch airline KLM, who installed a huge Christmas buffet in Schlipol airport, 4.5 metres in the air. Then, when occupied, each chair brought the table down a little lower, until it reached ground level for everyone to tuck in.
And that’s it! Hit subscribe if you’d like to see these every month throughout 2017 – and we’ll see you soon!
