Affiliate marketing is one of the most popular ways to make money online, and for good reason. It’s relatively simple to get started, and there are a variety of ways to make money with affiliate marketing. In this article, I’m going to share with you how I made $4,000 in one day with affiliate marketing.
First, let me give you a little bit of background on affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is a performance-based marketing strategy in which a business rewards an affiliate for each customer brought to the business by the affiliate’s own marketing efforts. The industry has four core players: the merchant (also known as ‘retailer’ or ‘brand’), the network (that contains offers for the affiliate to choose from and also takes care of the payments), the publisher (also known as ‘the affiliate’), and the customer.
In order for an affiliate program to work, all four players must be involved. The merchant must have an affiliate program; the network must have an advertiser who wants to run an affiliate program; the publisher (affiliate) must have a website or some other online presence through which they can promote the merchant’s products or services; and finally, the customer needs to be aware of the advertiser’s products or services and actually buy something from them.
Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let me tell you how I made $4,000 in one day with affiliate marketing. It all started with a blog post I wrote about a product I was using at the time called LeadPages. LeadPages is a software that allows you to create landing pages (the pages people see when they click on an ad or link) very easily.
I had been using LeadPages for a while and was really happy with it, so I decided to write a review of it on my blog. If you’re not familiar with reviews, they are basically articles where you talk about your experience with a product or service and whether or not you would recommend it to others.
I had been using LeadPages for a while at that point, so I had plenty of good things to say about it. I also included my referral link in the review so that people could sign up for LeadPages through my link if they were interested. A few days after I published the review, someone clicked on my link and signed up for LeadPages. Then something amazing happened…
LeadPages sent me an email saying that I had generated $180 in commissions! And that was just from one sale! I was absolutely stunned. I thought maybe there had been some kind of mistake so I emailed them back asking if they could check again. They wrote back confirming that I had indeed generated $180 in commissions from that one sale!
I was blown away by this because up until that point, I had never made any money online at all! After doing some research, I found out that this is actually pretty common in the internet marketing world. People often call it “the money train” because once you get started making sales, it just keeps going and going like a train!
I was so excited by this that I decided to try to get more sales so that I could make even more money! And so started my journey into internet marketing…
