Terrific Blue Ray drive. It doesn’t record them – only regular DVDs. It’s powered though the USB so there is no need for any additional hookups. It has both USB and USB-C so it can also hook up to newer laptops. It plays Blu Rays perfectly. The features are dependent on the software you have installed on your PC. I use VLC Media player for Blu Rays on my PC and this drive works great. Nice!!

Needed something to rip my blu rays to pc and didn’t want to spend much but this product is cheap for a reason. Only plays dvds, not blu rays.

My new laptop, as is the case with the majority of mobile digital data devices, is not equipped with a disc player/recorder. This diversely functional disc player/burner is perfect.

It is a low profile, slim-line, plug and play device that packs away in my case very nicely. No fuss, no muss!!!

The device reflects quality of design and craftsmanship.

So, all on all, works great. Able to play my DVDs no problem. But it’s labeled as a blu ray/DVD player, but only 1/4 of the time will it even register the blu ray disc, but won’t play them at all.
