I really like the concept and am hoping that my children will make good use of these books. But, the first time my daughter was fidgeting with the pen she broke off the end of the cap where the pocket clip is and I’m having a hard time getting it to stay back on – I’m not sure that an open ended pen cap is going to keep the ink from drying out – maybe the plastic insert will keep the ink wet, but it’s still a disappointment that the cap broke so quickly.

Also, I love the idea of the pen holding aids, but I found that the pen cap can not be placed on the pen when the holding aid is on the pen. The holding aid either needs to be removed from the pen or slid up on the pen to allow the pen cap to be attached.
