REVIEW:
I did not expect to like the SVPRO 4K ULTRA HD WEBCAM as much as I did. It far exceeded my expectations. My initial plan was to use it to livestream our new puppy, in his playpen, for friends and family and to allow me to keep an eye on puppy while I was working in my home office. It worked great for this, but I was quickly running over my “data limit” from my ISP, so instead I moved it to another function.
The SVPRO 4K ULTRA HD WEBCAM has threaded holes on the bottom for easy tripod mounting.
It is easy to manually zoom in and control the aperture and focus to get a really nice image.
I eventually “promoted” the camera for use in my video reviews, as it was just that good. The SVPRO 4K ULTRA HD WEBCAM allows me to get in nice and close to the item I am reviewing. Because it is manual focus, I don’t have to worry about typical problems with autofocus going in and out of focus all the time.
The IMX317 Image chip from Sony does a really good job of rendering a 4K image at an effective 8MP resolution.
SETUP
The manual recommends you install some shareware to control the camera features. Instead, I’m just controlling the camera from my streaming software. So really, this is plug and play for most situations.
PERFORMANCE
A very minor issue it that it uses a USB 2 interface instead of a USB 3 interface. This introduces some noticeable lag at high frame rates. I used my streaming software to reduce the framerate a little and that got rid of the lag. Alternatively, you could configure the device to run at 1080P instead of 4K and still take advantage of the great optics.
RECOMMENDATION
I fully recommend the SVPRO 4K ULTRA HD WEBCAM for 4K streaming and good optics on a budget. The unit although basic, is really well made and sturdy.

I downloaded and installed the software link from the QR code in the provided pamphlet. Upon plugging the camera into my PC’s USB Jack, it was immediately recognized. I was able to make adjustments to the screen window size to fully see what the camera was aiming at. The camera is 100% manual operation including focus, zoon, and f-stop. The picture was crisp. I was able to capture still pictures and video clips. The camera does not include a microphone. This is a nice camera and good value.
