🐑Typical electric fencing relies on the grounding rod to reach areas of permanent moisture deep below ground in order to function properly. Positive/Negative netting is configured with a grounding wire on the bottom strand which contacts the steel spikes on each post to properly ground the electric fencing system in the immediate area surrounding the netting, instead of grounding the entire field.
