Pi-4 will not boot up with this card installed. It’s a brand new pi-4. After trying everything and being in contact with the seller, I returned the product and the second one I finally got working. I had to switch micro hdmi several times to get it sorted so it isn’t without a good bit of tinkering to get working. However, it’s loaded with so many games and working now.
Also, it definitely is a Linux based system.

After tons of research and testing 2 other pre-built retro game systems looking for Zelda, I bought this software and made an awesome retro pie console. It was so easy to put the few parts together. I substituted a custom case that looks likes a mini nes, see picture.

The software is plug and play. I just put the SD Card into the slot and turned on the RetroPie. The controllers were already button-mapped so I just needed to figure out what I wanted to play. Zelda was the game I was looking for and this system has a lot of versions to choose from. They even have hacked versions with alternate characters. The same goes with some other games. You can’t go wrong with this purchase. Stop wasting your time shopping and buy it already. You’ll thank me.

I purchased the 128gb card for the pi 4. It has 12958 games on the card which includes SNES, mega drive , mame, FBA, Nintendo 64 , nes, Gameboy,GBC, GBA and older systems such as Atari consoles. There are no Dreamcast or PS1 games on this image.
Everything I’ve tried so far works well and the image is plug and play. You just need to configure whichever controller you are using. Overall, a really well put together image, thank you. Delivery to Australia took about a week which was fine.

I own a total of 12 pi 4’s and this sd card doesn’t work on any of them!!! Very disappointing. I have inspected the sd card, seems to be in perfect condition. And also shows folders when inserted as a USB device Ubuntu, Kali and also various other Linux based o/s. Not sure what’s going on, but it’s infuriating that it doesn’t work. This was for a Christmas present for my nephew , as I have built him a little custom pi tower with cooling etc for a gaming station. Not happy
