Easy plug and play set up. Very good picture quality even at night. Color night vision is nice but I don’t mind monochrome for several of my cameras where I would prefer the spot lights not to come on and it was simple to turn down the sensors for those cameras. Menu is basic and easy to use. I have a mixture of cameras with different resolutions and the all have good quality. 12MP, 8MP and 5MP currently with a 4K monitor. Easy to connect with the mobile app as well. The AI motion sensors for human, vehicle and animals take a bit of configuring to get them to work the way you want them to. Over all I would recommend this system to friends.

I’m adjusting my review because less than a month after installation the cameras keep going offline and the password is not accepted. Three of the eight cameras don’t work most of the time, sometimes more of them. I wouldn’t buy it again. In fact, if I can I might return them.

I did a tremendous amount of research. It’s difficult to find which system is right for your. But after having installed a system that had a horrible app experience and finally finding this system, I was very impressed. This system has a spotlight, the ability to record audio and have a two way talk feature, the picture quality is amazing and most importantly it is EXTREMELY intuitive!! So user friendly and the app is very smooth, clear, fast and just all around well designed. Very nicely done! Strongly recommend!!

I am a security installer by trade and this was very easy to setup and install. The video doorbell also links to the nvr, witch is nice. The app is very user friendly.
I wish there was more options for back light control, WDR, and the analytic options were more detailed for set up to eliminate false alerts.

I waited months before writing this review to see how everything held up.

The system was easy to install and the UI is straightforward. Adding another hard drive was also easy. The images, in both color and infrared are truly amazing — like watching TV — though if you review footage on anything but a phone or tablet, a 4K monitor is needed to see them at high resolution.

I love the cameras, but when I revisited the product page to write this review it had been updated with two photos promoting the system’s smart features that utterly disgusted me. See them yourself here: The “safe” guy is white with short hair; the “unwelcome” guy is black with dreadlocks. I hope Reolink reads this review and changes them. More customers should speak up.

Generally satisfied with this system; however, BEWARE… also bought a Reolink rcl-823a 16x because I wanted a good zoom, movable camera. I stayed with Reolink because I didnt want problems with another manufacturer being incompatible. Holy crap…the 823 16x DOES NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY with this system. The video starts and stops and skips on both my computer as well as my phone and it is basically worthless. I give them some credit as they have been corresponding regularly via email but after two weeks they have NOT solved the issue. I have paid almost $300 and spent hours of my time to be a beta tester. STAY AWAY…. in the future I will not by any Reolink products.

This system is “Ok” but not what I expected

I found that this is an Ok system. Maybe my expectations were too high as far as the picture detail but that did disappoint me at first. I bought this system to catch license plates as they went down my driveway. My camera that I did that with is probably 25 feet from camera to car. I found that once I turned down all other camera’s resolution to 8mp and kept the driveway one at 12mp I was able to see plate numbers clearly. So, don’t expect 4k picture quality like you see on your big screen TV but expect what I would call surveillance quality picture out of this system. The two way talk is a bit awkward. To be fair the color is great and the motion detection is very good. I haven’t really tested the night vision as of yet.
