We recently got a new television set, with a lot of new (to us) connectors on the back. Plus, the set is all digital this and digital that.
My wife has an older Sony Wi box. At least, I think it’s Sony…. Regardless, it’s old and it’s analog. We were unable to hook the only Sony to the new set. But this device changed it all.
By converting the old analog signals to digital, the old Sony box now plays on the new Sony television.
Now, the audio is fine, but the picture does suffer. It is not as bright and sharp as it was in our old set – which was a CRT. Yeah, like I said, old. For you young folk out there, that is Cathode Ray Tube. But the picture quality is fine. I doubt you could find hardware that would allow you a great image without spending a lot of money. This unit was inexpensive and does a decent job of allowing old stuff to work with new.
