This box real wood and is very good-looking. I have a bunch of equipment to plug into my laptop such as a scanner, printer, and cintique. The large box fits all the cords. Plus it has a large slot at the back which accommodates the big adapters on three of my cords. The back slot also acts as ventilation to prevent everything from getting too hot. Even though I had the pile of cords, hiding behind my computer screen, they were still spilling out, and you could see the reflection in the window. This wood box is a perfect solution for keeping them all hidden.

I like that you get two of these. I use the smaller one for my desk and the lid is like a shallow tray so my phone rests perfectly on it while charging. It can hold paper clips, odds/ends, pens, scissors, etc. The smaller box I use to contain my lamp, desktop speaker, and computer monitor cords. The larger one I use on the floor: it fits my Belkin surge protector in which I plug in my computer, smartTV, ethernet, and modem cords. It just looks tidy, no tangle of cords covered in dust bunnies. The brilliance is not just the slits on both ends of the box for your cords, but a larger cut-out on the back for ventilation, especially if you’re using a surge protector. I think the smaller box can fit a mini surge protector or mini multi outlet adaptor. Measure your surge protector and/or mini power strips to make sure they’ll fit inside these boxes. The vendor’s measurements in the product description are spot-on. The neat thing about them being untreated wood is that you can paint them whatever color you want to match your decor. These are so much cooler than the plastic ones which are strictly utilitarian. Personally, I think the price is worth it because it looks like in my home office.

The slightest issue that I have with it is that the lid is a bit rough and I got a splinter (easily fixed by sanding it down a bit), and the second box was smaller than I thought (my fault for not measuring). I have a desk in the middle of my office and a lot of electronics on it, a computer dock, two lights, Ember mug, etc. So, put one of these on the floor and one on the desk. The smaller one on my desk does a great job concealing my Caldigit doc for my MacBook. And the added bonus, as you can see in the photos, the side cutout worked great to allow all the plug ins for my accessories. So I have a few cords coming out the ends, but all the plug ins for my mac (external web cam, keyboard, backup drive, etc.) all plug into the side of the Caldigit dock so the side cutout was a life saver. Definitely improved the look of my desk. Still a lot of cords, but at least now they are wrapped together and it looks much more organized. I left the boxes as is, but it looks like you could stain them to match your furniture which I may try. Overall, they are as advertised and the side cutouts were a huge benefit in my case.

I just went ahead glue them together for now. Pray it doesn’t break again. I see other reviews have same problems..didn’t expect it would break even they would’ve reported it and fix it to make it better by then? So disappointing. Will fix the review if it will last longer or a replacement from them directly.
