My external hard drive had very sensitive, personal and family memories on it and it was no longer being recognized on any computer that I would connect it to, despite all the troubleshooting steps that I tried to get it working.

On a last and hopeful effort before considering professional data recovery services, I decided to order this converter and to my pleasant surprise it was able to establish a reading communication with the external hard drive and my computer, and I was able to see all my personal data again and back it up to a secure, reliable location.

My computer suddenly died and I purchased a new one but needed the files on the old hard drive. I used one of these 10 years ago but gave it away to someone who needed it so I bought this one. It allowed me to save all of my files, contacts, games and so on. It is simple to install and even a novice can use it. I took the old hard drive out of the computer and attached it and everything was there. This is a must have device. It is solid, easy to use and is compact. Can’t say enough good things about it.
