Pictured are before and after the lights are on. I use them for filming. They are great and lightweight and dimmable!
I also included a picture of my old box light compared to these. Imo I like these led strips more they are much brighter and spread better than the box light. And they obviously take up less space! I will end up selling my box lights and getting 2 more of these instead.

These lights are great, inexpensive, and best of all for me they have a mechanical switch! Unlike some lights with soft/electronic controls, I can set the brightness with a physical knob, turn them on with the switch, set the brightness with the mechanical knob, then turn them on and off from a distance with an outlet strip. Since the brightness control is a mechanical knob, they come on at the same brightness. I used these in my latest video production.

There is no way to adjust the color but I find the color temperature good for video and photography.

When not used for video I use one on a mechanical timer to wake up a brooder stack of baby peacocks in the morning!

The tripod is very cheap and not sturdy but that hasn’t been a problem.

Easy to setup and comes with a storage bag.

Use these to light up a desk for streaming and recording computer hardware. Lights are bright and illuminate everything well.

Fully extended the cords are a little short and you’ll want to use some velcro to manage the cables. The boxes with the dimming control run a bit hot and the mains leads cords are thin.

Everything has worked reliably so far, and for the cost you get a lot of functionality.

I’m an amateur photographer and have struggled to find the right lighting for indoor portrait and product photography. This lighting kit has been perfect for my needs. They are light-weight and easily fold up into the bag to take them wherever you need to go. Each light has a dimmer switch, too, so you can set the lighting at the brightness you need for the perfect shot. The stands adjust to multiple heights and the lights adjust to multiple angles, too. I’m not a professional, but these work great for my needs, and I have been able to get some good shots with them. I’ve also used them for lighting on video calls as well, and they have worked great for that.

I can’t gush enough about how good these lights are. I recently starting making digital content and admittedly don’t know much about lighting which I think speaks to how good these are, especially for beginners. I’m still learning and these are as user-friendly as possible with great results.

I’ve spent money on a few other ring lights. One was just poor quality and fell apart, and while the other worked ok, I’m not experienced enough to figure out how to get the ring from not reflecting in the video. Plus, the ring lights only light up so much space.

With these? You can use one or both. They’re lightweight, super easy to set up and adjust. Super user-friendly and effective. Plus, they’re in the same price-range as the other lights I’ve purchased, so they’re very affordable. I don’t have the type of glare/reflection issues I had before and these give you way more versatility in setting things up and to me that’s where the huge value comes in.

The fact they’re adjustable not just in a wide range of height, they lights themselves are adjustable in how you want to angle them, so if you can use just one of them the way you’d use a ring light.
