This was unexpected. What can possibly go wrong with buying a simple power supply like this? Answer – a unit with a way-too-short length of connecting wire, making it impossible to plug something in if the wall unit is, well, connected to a wall socket or a multi-strip adapter on the ground, and the device you want to use is, for example, on your desk.
This is an appallingly bad and unthinking bit of product design. The only way to use this is to now add an extension cord from the wall/floor outlet to the power supply itself. Ugh!
The net result is a useless product that becomes clumsy, inconvenient, and more expensive once you add an extension cord to it. And if you’ve an aggressive fire marshal doing a site inspection, good luck…..
It is one of those things not worth the hassle of returning. Best you save yourself a matching frustration and don’t buy it in the first place.
