The unit had a light weight and convenient design which was nice. But within 40 minutes of use it ceased functioning entirely. It refuses to read disks and has trouble connecting to my PC. It seems to be stuck in a loop of repeatedly restarting in its attempts to read disks until it simply gives up. This is apparently a common problem with this model going by other reviews other than the obvious astroturfed ones.

It seems on my 5 month old Dell All In one, the cable suggested in the instructions and supplied did not work and the drive could not be found. Customer support had me run through a procedure on you tube that took several hours that did nothing. Finally tried the built in cable. I just happened to notice a drive number not “mobile storage drive” as the instructions said. From there about 2 minutes, frustrating. Poor instructions, poor customer support, a recommended cable that doesn’t have a purpose. I kept it against my better judgement since poor service and poor instructions usually means a short life span.
