This came in handy whenever I wanted to hook up multiple PC builds in the same room and be able to also share internet with the TV as well. I was able to do so easily without much hassle at all. The only thing I would suggest is making sure that your Ethernet cords are in good condition, but that would apply for anything.

I wanted to hook up my Smart Samsung TV directly to the Internet and not through wifi alongside with my Bose 700 sound bar for Alexa purposes. While this splitter did do the trick. It wasn’t always reliable. Only 1 of the things that’s connected to the splitter seems to be working well and the other would be hit and miss. I wanted to like this but currently I have it unplugged. Unfortunately I can’t recommend this. Look somewhere else.

I got this switch to add an extra ethernet port in my office when I added a NAS. It works seamlessly on my home network and takes up very little space. The transfer speeds are right up there with my 8 port switch in my network cabinet. If your home network is hardwired like mine, this little switch will save you the time and expense of installing an additional cable with no loss in network speeds.

Exactly What I Needed for My Home Office

Does exactly what it says it does and that is exactly what I needed.

I have a home office with two laptop computers… one for my work and one for my personal stuff. Until now I have connected them both to the internet via WiFi with all of the associated quirks and dropout issues. I ran an Ethernet cable from the modem to my office so I could get enhanced speed, but always had to choose which computer I was going to connect via Ethernet and which one was going to remain on WiFi.

This device solved the issue for me as it allows me to connect both computers using that single Ethernet cable. I just plug the cable into the splitter and then use two short patch cable to connect both systems. Now I can enjoy the higher-speed connection on both systems simultaneously!

So far, I have had no dropouts, glitches or other connectivity issues… just a clean connection without the associated problems that I was having with WiFi. I can’t vouch that this will solve all of your connectivity issues, but it certainly made my life a little bit better.

Good build quality, unobtrusive, and just does its job!

Excellent product for home network

I needed a network splitter for my desktop so that I could hook my WD Cloud drive into and see it on my desktop. My home network is part wireless and part hard wired for my work computer, all others devices are wireless and my personal desktop is hooked into the lan port on my google mesh. By setting it up this way the TV can see my personal desktop when using media. Now the WD cloud drive was hard wired into the router and not easily accessible from the personal desktop. With using this Ethernet splitter I was able to hook it into the personal desktop and map it as a local drive so that the TV can now see it as they are on the same part of the network.

Having said all that, the splitter was super easy to install, just plug it into a USB port for power, plug in the Ethernet cables and you are done. No setup needed. It does exactly what I needed it to do. It is very well constructed aluminum body device, the Ethernet cables plug in securely and it was off and running. I checked file transfers and there were no issues whatsoever and the speed of the transfer seemed to fairly quick.

Overall this was exactly what I was needing to have access to the WD drive and the device is a very small form factor that takes up no room at all.

This Ethernet Splitter works exactly as described. I installed this device between my modem and my router. It allowed me to have an extra wired connection for my streaming device which I prefer to use connected to Ethernet rather than WIFI because it lessens the likelihood of lagging or buffering issues. Since I installed the splitter I have noticed zero degradation in the speed of my other connected devices. Appears well made with a solid aluminum case. A great solution if you want to increase your connectivity options.
