Not bad at all. Very pleased with the quality for under 40 bucks. The endoscope (camera) is equipped with led lights, but I’m surprised how well it looks regardless if the lights are illuminated or not. The tool is rechargeable, which is a plus! It’s easy to operate, so you don’t need to be tech savvy. This has met my needs for home maintenance. My only regret is not buying one sooner!

I have an older USB endoscope that I hook up to my phone, and it is a bit of a pain to use, as sometimes it loses connection to my phone. This standalone endoscope does not have this problem. This device has a nice bright screen, a 50 foot long cable, and features a rechargeable internal battery. There are a pack of different attachments that you can connect to the camera end, but I haven’t used any of them yet.

The LED light on the camera end is nice and bright and the image displayed on the screen looks good. The camera focuses nicely on really close objects and the LEDs illuminate things nicely. The only downside, is that there is no way to save images on this endoscope, and that is a big bummer. There is no slot for a memory card, and the USB interface seems to be only for charging the battery on the device.

The battery is lasting quite long for me, and it’s nice being able to pull this device out in the garage to take a look at something on one of my vehicles.

I have a similar device from a popular tool maker but I was always unsatisfied with the screem images. By comparision this unit offers high definition. I do take issue with the cable. At 50 ft in length I imagine it has its applications but in general I find it to be too long but not stiff enough to fish into tight spots at a distance. Where as my other unit has a very stiff albeit only a 6ft metal cladded fiber optic cable you can push it though resistance points. This unit will not allow for that . But on the other hand if you have a wide open area you are feeding the cable into then you will be very please with what you can see.

Con!!!
Can’t save video there is no sd or microSD and no transfer.
From description which should have been taken as warning: “Inspection camera do not require WIFI, mobile phones and APPs, and are ideal assistants for your industrial work.”

You can live view and that’s it. I wouldn’t have known this was even an issue because going back more than 10yrs inspection scopes; not one has not had either internal or external or both for recording and transferring to external device.

The closeup image is about as sharp as I’ve ever seen and both close and distance are extremely sharp which makes for a great inspectiom
The length is also a huge bonus if you need it.
I have not tried testing how waterproof and in general I try to avoid submersion in water from any general consumer grade scope.

I own three endoscopes and this one is pretty good:

My favorite feature is the size: The size is compact enough to take virtually anywhere without taking up a lot of space. The handheld device has a long handle and allows you to navigate and view the screen fairly easily.

The end of the line is lighted and provides a decent amount of light for dark enclosures:

The resolution is not super clear but is pretty good considering the price point! The image improves dramaticxally the closer you get to it.

The line is very flexible. It’s not real thick but thick enough to offer some resistance when feeding through small spaces such as duct work or vents.

There are a few attachments as well that give this tool more functionality!

Overall, great endoscope!

Simple endoscope to use around the house

This is a great tool to have for small projects or problems around the house. I’ve used it a few times already… one time for figuring out the source of a rattle in an AC outlet, and another time for checking a pipe that has been backing up recently. The screen is small, but it’s clear and easy to see. It’s portable and goes everywhere. The USB-C charging is a plus. The attachments (i.e., magnet, hook and mirror) that come with it help with pulling stuck objects or investigating potential issues. The operation is very simple. One button to turn on, two buttons each to increase and decrease light intensity. Highly recommended for lightweight jobs.
