the box is solid, easy to mount to the house, and offers pretty good weather resistance. we did outsource the actual electrical connection to a professional, but he was done in less than an hour – including drilling holes, running cables, and tying into the breaker box.

the length allows us to keep the generator away from the house and still have enough current coming through because of the wire gauge to run the critical aspects of the house off the generator.

Nice package with all the important pieces there already.

I needed a cord and a connection point. This kit gives both. You have a choice of how long the cord is. At the electrical box you need a inlet/input connection box to power it during a power failure. I’m installing a generator and this kit had what I wanted. You can change the length of the cord. Good price too

Everything came as a package. The connector and cord set. The cord set has a carrying sack which is handy to store. The cord insulation is supple and not very stiff and allows it to be easily coiled and stowed away.

The generator inlet box was straight forward to wire up.

The indicator light on the lid is nice since it glows red if the receptacle is energized from the panel, which is should never be, and glows green when connected correctly.

My neighbor bought one before I did, and I ordered mine after I saw his installed and was impressed.
