1. What is provided with the capture device is a sheet of paper about 3 inches high and 15 inches long with lots of pictures on how to wire things up. That is great. Unfortunately it does not tell how to use the device.
2. I can find nothing that tells where the captured video goes to.
3. The screen colors change, they actually become much brighter, considering my vision problems this is a plus. They retain the same color just much brighter so they appear to change collors, for instance a dark red like a crimson (dried blood) is suddenly suddenly candy apple or a grass green is suddenly almost a neon green.
4. The sound is completely lost. I cannot even get sound off the headphones or the system speakers. The sheet mentions “optional audio capture”, as there is not manual, I have no idea how to capture the sound. That is actually what I wanted to do as I wanted to capture my online classes for reviewing sessions.
I have gone into system settings and changed from using the device (it appears to the system as if s/pdif device and the default is set to it). I have tried changing the default output device to both headphones and system speakers but no sound comes out. The HDMI connection going through the device appears to block sound as the computer cannot detect the speakers built into my monitor (a Samsung 55in 4K with HDR television (I did say vision problems)).
5. Must one purchase additional software or hardware to use this device? My system exceeds all listed hardware and software requirements.
