I went out and bought a new charger. Then I found out you can buy these handy adapters that change your lighting charger to be compatible with the new phones. They’re cheaper than a new charger and work well. Would definitely recommend

I swapped to the new Iphone 15 pro, so all usb c. However, I still carry an apple battery when I travel for extra longevity during the day. This is great for only brining the usb c cord and being able to charge up the iphone and battery as needed.

I bought this to use as an adapter for my ear buds that have a lightening connector on them to use with my iPhone 15. They don’t connect. Also tried to use it on my laptop that has a usbc port and wouldn’t connect on it either. Only thing it worked for is a regular usb with a lightening charging wire and then use this to attach to my phone. I already have a usbc charging wire so not needed. Buy something else if you wanted it for ear buds

I have a USB thumb drive with USB-C and USB-A connectors, and I can use it to move files between iPad and Mac (and probably other devices with these connectors). I wanted to extend this capability to iPhone by plugging the USB-C on the thumb drive into this adapter and then into the Lightning connector on the phone.

It doesn’t work.

I’m dinging 1 star from the overall rating, because while it may pass data, it doesn’t connect a drive.

Overall, no problem with build quality, and it is labeled “PD” for power delivery and it does allow a USB-C power source to charge the iPhone.

Lighten-to-usbc conversion connector.

Ufortunately this adapter only works when plugged into a high-powered device as it displays the message on the iPhone ‘device requires too much power’ when using on low power devices such as a vehicle.

As such, this does not work with CarPlay, which is what I intended to use it for.
