I didn’t want to spend a ton of money on a webcam, but I needed something that had a light on it that wouldn’t blind me and something that could zoom in (since not everyone needs to see what’s going on where my backdrop ends). Some video platforms allow for you to zoom in or out, but many of them don’t, and the ones that don’t are often super far away.

This webcam had the three things I was looking for and did all without compromising quality:
1) built-in light that has four settings (off, light, medium, bright) — I can turn it off when I don’t want it, and I can adjust how bright it is with the touch of a finger (not even a button!)
2) zooming capacity — depending on the platform (since some don’t let you zoom even if your webcam does), it has up to five different zoom settings so you can set it exactly where you want it
3) affordable — really “nice” webcams can get super expensive; this one is affordable and I have nothing negative to say about it

I do a lot of streaming, but have poor lighting in my room, so this was perfect for me. Even if you have good light, i would still say this camera is good for you because the brighter white light only enhancing the quality of the picture. This is a great all in one easy to use camera. The ring light, saves me from having to set up lighting, and since it is around the camera, it directly lights what i’m filming. You get a range of brightness for you liking, but the brighter i used, the better picture quality appeared. It is super easy to use, so installation required, you just plug in and go and it is compatible with my Mac! It has easy tape controls for the light as well. I also really like the base, it clips right onto my computer, with foam insides as to not scratch my computer. It also adjust many ways to accommodate any style laptop or desk tops. The bottom also has a screw inlet, that fits any standard stand/ tripod, for if you rather use it that way. This is very versatile. The quality is spot on, with and without the light on. It has an auto focus, to keep the picture crystal. clear while you move around. And this was a very reasonable price; other cameras with these features i’ve seem upwards of $100.

I’ve been searching for a web cam alternative to the one built into my laptop. When in my office, I use an external monitor and don’t like meetings where I’m looking at my monitor, rather than into the camera and talking directly to the folks in the meeting. But I also didn’t want to break the bank, since I was paying for it, rather than my company.

It also was important to have camera with zoom in and out capabilities. Other cameras I had tried featured such a wide angle, and I didn’t want to show so much of my messy office.

What I like about this camera: picture quality, price, zooming capability, size, ease of use.

What I don’t love about this camera: zooming is accomplished manually through a button on the back of the camera, rather than through settings on my computer; the zoom setting must be re-adjusted every time you restart your computer, so every morning when I fire up the cam for the first meeting of the day, I have to remember to reach up and manually adjust the zoom. The camera has a built in ring light, but it doesn’t add any noticeable light in my office setup, which is well lit, so I don’t even use it.

All in all, I’d recommend this camera if you’re in the market for a budget-friendly web cam.

This is only my first day with it, but it is sooooo much better than my last webcam. Before I looked like I was ghost dead (I have bad lighting in my office for sure) but now I look normal even with my awful lighting (with an overhead light on one side and no natural lighting). The picture is crisp. It is physically (clipped) small on my monitor and doesn’t block the screen except for a small profile. The ring light is perfect. I haven’t tried the zoom yet. I like the smaller angle range (which is why I bought this one…no one needs to see my entire background!). It was boxed nicely, was definitely plug and play, and even came with a little cleaning cloth (nice add). I hate all the on camera meetings but at least I don’t look like Dracula’s niece! The only thing I don’t like is the auto-focus, but it works perfectly. I am just not a fan of that feature, but if I needed it I know it is just as it should be.

The video has a pinkish overtone, seems a bit blurred, the ring light doesn’t do much, and I’m not sure it wasn’t refurbished as it didn’t come with protective plastic. The microphone is better than my laptop and that was a plus. If you need a basic camera it’s fine but not for a professional look and business imo.

I finally found the web cam I have been looking for. I work from home and do a lot of Zoom meetings where I need to appear on camera. I wanted me to be the focus when I’m on camera – not the room around me – and I really don’t like the blur or virtual backgrounds – they steal focus. I have it set at the second zoom (I believe there are 5). I don’t appear washed out when it’s sunny and you can see all my gray hair – so the picture is good. The light has three settings and is easy to turn on from the front – although I don’t really need it – It’s nice to have it there, just in case. I have had no issues with the auto focus, but I don’t move much when I’m on camera. Overall, very happy.

Ich brauchte eine Webcam für die unterschiedlichen Arbeitsplätze, an denen ich arbeite. Wichtig war mir neben einer guten Bildqualität auch ein vernünftiges Mikrofon. Da ich im Homeoffice vor dem Fenster arbeite, sollte die Webcam auch leuchten können, da bei Dunkelheit das Licht in meinem Zimmer immer von hinten kommt und ich dann sozusagen im Schatten sitze.

Die Kamera macht einen guten Eindruck. Alles gut verarbeitet, wirkt wertig.

Der Mechanismus der Halterung ist simpel – aber genial. Die Kamera lässt sich überall gut befestigen (Notebook oder Monitor), um 360 Grad drehen und nach vorne neigen.

Nach dem Anschließen mit dem ausreichend-langen Kabel wurden die Kamera und das Mikrofon von meinem Windows 10 Rechner sofort erkannt. Keine Treiberinstallation notwendig.
Das Licht kann man per Antippen des silbernen „Y“ unter der Linse einschalten. Es lässt sich in drei Helligkeitsstufen einstellen – die Farbtemperatur lässt sich nicht verändern. Ob die Kamera aufnimmt zeigt sie anhand eines kleinen roten Lichts über der Linse.

Die Bildqualität habe ich mit meiner eingebauten Notebook-Kamera verglichen. Das ist schon ein sehr deutlicher Unterschied! Ein klares, scharfes Bild, gute und angenehme Farbtöne. Keine wirkliche Verzögerung bei den Bewegungen.
Außerdem bietet die Kamera noch eine Zoom-Funktion mit dem Knopf an der Rückseite. Hierbei handelt es sich um einen Digital-Zoom, was bei der Full-HD Auflösung recht gut funktioniert. Die Einstellung merkt sich die Kamera nicht – das muss man beim nächsten Rechnerstart wieder einstellen.

Das Stereo-Mikrofon funktioniert gut. Ich habe ein paar Testaufnahmen gemacht und die Verständlichkeit ist vollkommen in Ordnung.
