The rocks are a nice size (2-3 inches each) and quality — look pretty and a nice variety of polished and more raw, like a geode. They have a little printed key saying what each one is. It’s a great value. The little openings could be a tad more sturdy, but overall this has been his favorite advent calendar yet!

The daily surprise has yielded a large, polished stone and a guide describing the stone. Included is a little bag for holding the stones. Ideal for anyone who likes the many different types of stone to be found on our big rock. My grandson likes it, but I really wanted it for myself. I like rocks

I bought my kids both one of these, they dont always get the same rock or crystal at the same time. They absolutely love seeing what they got everyday and learning about each item. One day they got the bag, no rock or crystal, but they didn’t seem to mind. One day they got a crystal and a magnifying glass which was plastic. The stones and crystals are actually pretty nice. I think this was definitely worth the price, so much better than candy. Very interesting learning about each thing they find. If I could I would totally buy this for my niece and nephews. I would get this any time of year too.

We realized about half way through that the insert that held the accessories was in the wrong spot and should have been opened first but was actually taking up the last 6 stone boxes. So her advent is all messed up. Total bummer.

I was very excited to gove my 12 year old this calender, but it is one total disappointment. The gems don’t even come close to the pictures that were provided in the pridict description and aren’t even real gems, but produced of side products/made of waste from producing glass marbles and so on.

Please take my advice and DON’T BUY this advent calendar!!!! It is a total waste of your money. It’s not even worth 1 star.
