The Design Kit
Once upon a time, architects prepared drawings by hand. They used pencils, pens, erasers, lots of paper, and probably the architect’s most famous drafting tool, a T-square. Not surprisingly, the T-square earned its name because it looks like the letter T!

Like the Site Plan, the Floor Plan is an overhead view. It is the view we see if we slice the walls of a house parallel to the ground, attach a crane to the upper part of the building, lift it off, and then fly over in a plane and look down.
