A VERY simple update will increase the download speeds of this dongle 10x (at least it did for me). Just make sure you update drivers from Realtek website under model#: 8812BU. This isn’t hard to figure out as the model is listed under network adapters device manager. Download it and then go to Device Manager – right click on the device under Network Adapters and search for driver update. It should do it automatically after you download the Realtek driver. I had issues installing directly from the Realtek file, so let Windows do it for you. If you don’t download the driver, Windows will incorrectly display that the current driver is the most recent. Impossible to beat the price/performance ratio! Great range, great speeds for chump change.

If you don’t have this thing up and running with the latest driver in 5 minutes or less you are doing something very wrong.

Love this WiFi dongle. I had internet when I plugged this in so it found the drivers ? My old dongle I have it’s shot and started to slow down. A lot faster than what I had and thanks once again. Drivers do come with it aka on a cd but I’m sure you can find them online if needed. None of my PCs have cd rom drives so it wasn’t useful.

Okay so, I was worried this wouldn’t work with Windows 11 bc I had bought several before that said it supported it and it definitely did not.

THIS one did the job and then some, I also use it with T-Mobile Home Internet and there has been no problems thus far. I also have it within 15 feet of the router (for reference). It picked up the signal almost immediately and I’ve been using it ever since.
