Works great with no problems. The daytime and nighttime resolutions are fantastic, just as advertised. I added a 128 GB heavy duty memory card from Samsung (microSDXC UHS-1 Evo Select) to ensure no frames are dropped when continuously recording in hot weather). My Hikvision video recorder recognised the camera right away and the setup, including selected motion, took less than 5 minutes. The unit mechanically fits the Hikvision mounts for the 2185 series of dome cameras. The Ultra HD resolution can only be fully appreciated it you have a large Ultra HD monitor; however, any monitor will work. The Ultra HD resolution is very helpful when trying to crop a single frame to get a good look at a face.

2 problems
First, Synology does not recognize it as Hikivision compatible. Their support was quickly to respond initially but they quickly lost interest in this problem as there is nothing they can offer to fix that
Second, IP address is hard-coded. DHCP is not the default. You need to do some digital acrobatics to fix that. I have no idea why they do such a thing… I mean….. why???

Other that than, if you use it in ONVIF capacity, it works as expected, but you will lose some of the advertised features. Also, worth noting this is a larger camera than the ones you used to. Like 20% bigger and heavier. Not that it is a problem for me personally.

This is clearly 3-star review, but the reality is that many other vendors sell upscaled 2K cameras as 4K, which is a deception. I purchased 2 pseudo-4K (“Real HD” and “Anpviz”) before I got this one. These guys are honest in their description as they do have true 4K sensor.
I feel weird that I should give people stars to products just for the fact that there is no deception involved.
Other than that, If you’re fine with ONVIF and you need zoom, I can recommend this camera, seems to be working well for my purposes.

After 3 months of owning this camera a fairly thick dark line in the shape of a tornado showed up in my video feed. It starts at the top edge of the screen and stretches down almost to the middle. So now anytime I watch live or recorded video footage there is a line in the video like a tornado. I tried cleaning the lens but to no avail. After reporting the issue to the seller their response was to either physically open up the camera, which by the way they admitted would not be an easy task, and try to clean the lens behind the glass, or they could offer me a discount on a new camera. Yeah, nice warranty. I have never had this issue with any other camera brand. This one may not be sealed properly if a piece of hair or something can make itself into the camera. As for the seller if they don’t stand behind their product from a warranty perspective then one might as well shop elsewhere.

Pros: Great picture quality, easy to access RTSP stream, acceptable sound, acceptable IR performance, very customizable image.

Cons:
Camera doesn’t use DHCP to get an IP address by default, so if your network doesn’t use the 192.168.1.1 subnet you’ll need to use the dahua config tool to find the camera and change to DHCP to get it to pull an IP address in your network’s range.
Web interface doesn’t work in chrome
By default the image is 4:3, not 16:9 which is much more common in cameras these days, this can be changed in settings.

This camera is a white-labeled Dahua IPC-HDW4631. It is a rather dated 6+ years old camera and Dahua discontinued this model a while ago. I am guessing the manufacturer, who claims to be Dahua’s OEM partner, has a stock of leftover cameras they want to move. The camera I received was manufactured in 2021.

The camera is actually not bad. It does not have a very good night vision, but otherwise it works well. It has PoE, supports ONVIF and H.265 video, works in modern browsers with no plug-ins, and can be connected to most NVRs. But $74.99 price is an overkill — this is 30-40% over the reasonable market price. You can buy the same cameras at half that price on AliExpress.

I took a chance with this camera based on specs. I was not disappointed and will get another camera. I’ve done a few surveillance systems these are good 1080p cameras. It’s better than the 4K Amcrest camera I bought, which cost $90+ and less picture quality. The price to performance is excellent. A bit weaker at night vision but way better than the Amcrest. It setup not bad, it’s configured for DHCP so look for the matching IP address based on this units mac address to show up in your router and make it static and write it down. Please note you are forced to change the login password – Don’t lose the password or you’re in trouble. I wish black was a color option. Over all it’s very good camera and I recommend it.
