These are a nice set of binoculars at a real good price. They are solid yet light weight and seem to be well made. I’ll take these out on hikes. The image is very good. I have a couple of other similar sized binoculars that were a little more costly and I like the image quality on these better.

I use these when I go to the range so I can see where I’m hitting the paper while sighting in optics. The glass is clear enough for what I’m doing and the 12 power works well enough out to 50 yards to see holes in paper. At 75 yards I was having to use reactive targets to see the holes because the plain paper targets just weren’t showing the holes for me. The carrying case is nice and padded fairly well with a cheap strap that won’t be comfortable if you try to hang it around your neck. It has rubber covers for the eyepieces, the objective lens are attached to the binos so when they’re removed they hang off the end. The eyepiece covers are attached to each other but not the binos so you have to store it somewhere so as not to lose it. That’s kind of annoying honestly, they should’ve made them the same way as the objective lens covers. The adjustments were easy and smooth to make for both eyes.

On the fence about whether or not to buy a pair of binoculars! Binoculars allow you to see distant objects in a way that would be impossible to see with the naked eye, more comfortable than single telescopes. Binoculars often have 2 numbers stamped or engraved on them. In this case numbers like 12×42. The first number indicates the magnification value, that means 12 times magnification. The second number in this case is 42, indicates the aperture or diameter in millimeters. The larger the aperture, the clearer the image will become. Another way of describing the aperture is the field of vision. This means the amount of area that can be seen through the lens.

How much closer do objects appear using binoculars? It depends on the magnification number stamped on to the binoculars. In this case the magnification is 12 times, indicated by the sign 12x. If you are standing in a clearing, looking at a tree far off in the distance, let’s say the tree is 100 yards away, you can see that tree as if it was only 12 yards away by looking through 12x magnification binoculars.

These binoculars have clear, good focus, a crisp, sharper image, lightweight, portable, easy to use, I use them for stargazing, sightseeing, sports events. The image and build quality are excellent. Work exactly what they supposed to do, they work surprisingly well for me and my needs, they’re perfect.

These binoculars are well made, good quality, versatile tools that provide enlarged images of distant objects, used in a variety of settings, such as hiking, birding, hunting, wildlife viewing, stargazing, sports events, etc. Great value.

This is a nice set of binoculars, especially at its price point. The zoom is 12 power and the objective lenses are 42 millimeters in diameter (12X42). The zoom is fixed (not adjustable) and is just about right for bird watching and wildlife. The features are a nice balance of zoom, field of view (FOV), and clarity. The exterior has a waterproof coating that gives it texture and grip in wet and snowy conditions. It also comes with objective flip-down caps, removable ocular caps, a tripod interface, and an adjustable diopter ring to get the best focus for your eyes. It also comes with adjustable eye cups that allow you to move your eyes closer or further away from the binos for optimal comfort and vision.

I like the compact nature of these binoculars, which keeps them small and lightweight, and the clarity is very noticeable. Also, I have used the binos in bright sunlight and didn’t notice any chromatic aberration. However, I discovered a few issues that have as much to do with me as with the binoculars. The first issue addresses vision. If I placed the binos where I could best see through them, I would have trouble with optimal comfort. Additionally, the focus wheel is very sensitive to movements, and a tiny amount of movement will affect the focus. I found myself moving the focus wheel past the optimal hold on a routine basis. Therefore, move it slowly. The second issue relates to comfort. If I placed the binos where they were most comfortable, I had trouble with optimal vision. The adjustable eye cups did help with comfort but were not enough to alleviate the problem. The third issue involves eye strain. I was getting an unusual amount of eyestrain, which I think was caused by the previously mentioned issues.

My facial structure and eyes are not fully compatible with these binoculars. I can’t fault the manufacturer because they build these for the masses and not for me as an individual. So long as they fit your eyes and face, you will have a good pair of roof prism binoculars.
